Yacht Entertainment Systems
The AV training course for yacht crew. With Crestron certification – YES!
So you’re looking for work as a yacht ETO or AV and IT Engineer? Or maybe you’re an engineer on a yacht without an ETO. So you’re responsible for AV, but need to know more. These high-end and bespoke systems can be sizeable and complex. Crucially, they’re also a major part of the guest experience. Typically, you need experience with each main system component. Yet this training is hard to find. Additionally, AV training isn’t always available directly to crew. Where it is, you’ll find it time consuming and expensive. Furthermore, manufacturer’s courses can go beyond what crew need. Because they’re intended for those installing and programming systems regularly.
We understand who you are and what you need. Because we’ve spent many years supporting these systems onboard ourselves. This experience has helped develop the exact training course you need. Our ethos is teaching the common knowledge and maintenance tasks with the most common equipment. So we include equipment from market leaders such as Crestron and Kaleidescape. In fact, Crestron Technician training and certification is exclusively included. Finally there’s overviews of Kaleidescape, Soundweb and KNX systems.

The course covered a large portion of information and hardware. A lot of information was given clearly and in a few words; brief but comprehensive. This was easy to absorb. The structure was clear, logical and effective. Sjoerd, Yuri and Scott obviously put a lot of thought and expertise into the program.
However, it wasn’t just about the new knowledge. Other benefits came from doing practicals, receiving feedback and interacting after the day had finished.
This gave me the confidence to implement new techniques in my workspace. In contrast, my attempts in the past had failed.

The course was a good mixture of theory and practical. Also, the lecturers’ knowledge was exceptional. Plus, they were very patient and helpful. The class were asking good questions of real life issues. These were answered in detail, based on the lecturers’ current expertise. Furthermore, the provided lunch and refreshments were very nice. I also enjoyed meeting and conversing with others on the course.
Finally, the location of the course, hotel and provided transport worked out very well. I was glad I joined the course and would recommend it to others.
The YES course was great for me, coming from the offshore industry. I found the delivery and content both very professional and easy to digest. Also there was great interaction with the instructors, who gave a good blend of practical exercises and theory.
The venue and small class size were perfect for my needs. So this allowed some to share their own experiences. I can now apply these new skills within the yacht industry. I would recommend this course for any newcomers or existing engineers.
I enjoyed the course very much, Sjoerd and Brian were very professional. The location of the class and the hotel were optimal, with a good connection to Amsterdam.
Most importantly for me, was the overview of the typical technology implemented on yachts. So I now have a good starting point, from which to build up my knowledge further.
Also, it was good to have a small group of participants for better interaction. This included discussing common problems with seasoned crew.
As someone new to the industry, I found Just ETOs’ YES course an invaluable experience. Also, it was great to meet others on the same path as myself. Most importantly, the course was full of the practical systems information. Exactly what I’ve been looking for.
